Today we went over work assigned yesterday. This work was not graded, but it was used for discussion of economic terms and economic systems. Today, the assignment is page 13 in the "The World's People" booklet, and is due Thursday, December 13, 2012. The assignment is a Vocabulary matching activity, over vocabulary words from Chapter 3, Section 2. The students must include a page number with each answer. I require a page number because I want kids to learn how to use a textbook. When your child writes a random page number, it defeats the purpose. I don't expect kids to memorize every fact in the book, but I do expect them to know how to locate information. Please encourage your student to use the book carefully.
I have a "Secret Word" for Thursday, too. The word is: ethoncentric!
